For my business card project, I wanted to stay with a black and white aesthetic, similar to the expressionistic films of the 20th century. Additionally, I have continued to update my logo design, including adding some more color, but keeping a mostly black and white color pallet. For my first card design, i chose to follow a look that was inspired by film strips, including some discoloration on the sides for added effect. For my other cards, I chose to use a gradient effect to replicate a projector effect. Two of my cards use the term "As I Believe The World To Be, So It Is," which comes from old magic and alchamy rituals and philosophies. I think this saying ties heavily into filmmaking as anything can be created through the artform, and as common metals can be turned into gol with alchamy, simple scenes shot on sound stages could be transformed into a great piece of cinema with the propper resources.   

    I was having a hard time trying to come up with a way to create a business card format that was more than just average looking card. Part of my thought concept for a card was to have the format in a letterbox style, with black bars on the top and bottom of the card similar to the style of filmmaking. Other than that, my only real ideas were to have my company name with a logo on one side of the card, while I have my business information on the other side. 

      For my project, I decided to insert myself in a scene from 1977's  Star Wars. Since the film's original release, director George Lucas decided that he wanted to rename the film to A New Hope  as well as add multiple deleted scenes with more special effects. One of these new scenes added to the story includes gangster Jabba the Hutt as well as bounty hunter Boba Fett, both of which were not in the original version of the film. Since Boba Fett was an addition to the film, this where I thought I would also add myself in. For my outfit, I threw together a rain jacket, green pants, some belts, a vintage WWII gas mask, and a wig, For the accessories, I placed a bread knife and an umbrella in the belt loops wrapped around my body. I chose to go with this design as Star Wars bounty hunters have always had strange appearances, ranging from robots, lizardmen, bug people, and the occasional person wearing Mandalorian armor such as Boba Fett.  Unused backgrounds...

I think this has to be my favorite image that Kirby Kardashian has made, just because I can see how much work he had to put into it to match the lighting, his body position, and being able to crop himself in there without looking like it is a photoshopped image. The light that is hitting his body looks very believable to that of the light hitting everyone else.    What I like about this image is the juxtaposition between Jennifer Lawrence and the artist averagebob. Lawrence looks very beautiful in this cinematic-like image of her riding on horseback, but the addition of averagebob gives the image a comedic take.  What I like about what the artist was able to do here is make a play on words from the email he received. I think that the shadow of the donkey is really well constructed. I always try to do more practical effects rather than add effects in post, both with photo and video editing.  The image I chose to use for this project was from Halloween 2019, where I painted my face and wore clothes to look like a protestor from the movie Joker . In the photo, I had just gotten back from a party and was feeling exhausted, and had begun peeling the paint from my face. The reason why the paint was peeling was that I had used acrylic paints, which aren't healthy to put on faces, but I was broke and in art school so I used what I had. I felt like this photo captured me in a way that not a whole lot of images can, with me trying to be humorous but not afraid to allow the faults show. For my color selections, I arranged them in a pattern that I thought would best allow the shapes to pop from each other.  Original photo: Analogous colors: Complementary colors: Triad colors:

     For my project, I chose to have my image be a seance being hosted by me, the Annabelle doll from the Conjuring movie franchise, and Slimer from the Ghostbusters  films. Additionally to the image, I added an image of a table as well as an Ouija board. I chose to follow this path with what I insert into my project because I like the horror movie genre, but I also enjoy parody and satire. For me, a quiet conversation with Annabelle and Slimer would be an unexpected thing, considering Annabelle is likely to try to possess or kill anything the doll comes into contact with, and Slimer is likely to begin screaming or flying around any room while looking for an escape. After I constructed the image and had all of the proportions about where they would be for me, the ghost, and the doll, I realized that the image reminded me of the meme format where multiple people look toward the viewer with blank faces, with a caption saying "Damn bro, you go the whole squad laughing."...
